The book summaries research findings on a study of the influence of celebrities on the behaviour of adolescents in high schools on a case study held in a province in Zimbabwe. The study established that in trying to identify with celebrities adolescents were influenced to imitate the behaviour of the celebrities they admired. The study concluded that students who regarded celebrities who were abusing substances as their role models ended up abusing substances as well. The students regarded the taking of substances by young celebrities as something normal and fashionable. In addition, celebrities influenced students to engage in risky sexual behaviour through exposure to movies, pornographic videos and social media channels such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter while on the other hand exposure to celebrities' life styles shaped students' academic success and broadened their knowledge of other forms of careers. To be self-conscious of the dangers associated adverse influence of celebrity culture, parents should make it a habit to discuss with their children both benefits and risks associated with the life styles of celebrities and follow a proposed intervention model in this book.

Most people, if asked, would deny that they'd ever had fantasy relationships, as they are associated with pretending to be with someone or in something that's nonexistent. However, it's time for you to change what you think you know. In this modern age of texts, email, Facebook, online dating, and casual relationships, it's never been so easy to find yourself in a crumb-filled fantasy relationship. An increasing number of people are satisfied with sprinklings of attention and interaction which they use to give themselves the illusion of being loved, cared for, and in control because they get to avoid commitment, intimacy, and full-on rejection. The Dreamer and the Fantasy Relationship is for every woman who's been caught short by her overactive imagination and her great expectations. Struggled to get over a relationship that didn't truly exist? Don't understand how you wound up spending years with someone you hardly saw? Keep letting your assumptions and projections run away with you? It's time to come back down to earth and face reality so you can take action in your present, face your real future, and get happy. Acting as a companion guide to Mr Unavailable and the Fallback Girl, the no-holds-barred Bible for understanding excuse-filled, commitment-dodging, unavailable men and the women that they fall back on for an ego stroke, shag, and a shoulder to lean on, I wanted to introduce a new role due to the sheer number of emails and comments I receive from women who actually believe that the crumbs they're receiving, particularly via cheap talk, grand promises, texts, email, and Facebook are relationships or love. The Dreamer and the Fantasy Relationship explains how fantasy relationships work, why they're so attractive, and the types of fantasy relationship and Mr. Unavailable that you're likely to be involved with and provides practical tips and tools for breaking the habit and tackling issues such as 1. Move over, Georgia Nicolson. Say goodbye to Geek Girl. Meet Emma Nash. When 16-year-old Emma is ghosted by love of her life Leon Naylor, she does what any normal girl would do. She spends the entire summer lurking in her bedroom, avoiding all human contact (and the shower), surrounded by the collection of Chewits wrappers she saved from packs Leon gave her, back when he actually acknowledged her existence.... But seeing Leon suddenly 'in a relationship' on Facebook with the perfect Anna spurs Emma into action, and she embarks on a mission to make positive changes to her life (or 'edits', if you will), vowing to use the Internet for more than obsessively stalking Leon's activities! Instead she will use it for good and noble causes like finding someone who will actually be nice to her and recording her findings for the rest of the world to see (i.e., BFF Steph and her mum) on her new Editing Emma blog. But Emma soon discovers her habit is harder to break than she first thought - turns out she's not the only one editing herself online (thank you, Tinder, for finding her mum's profile - age 35, really?) and that life through an Instagram filter isn't always what it's cracked up to be. But it could be worse: she could have outed her best friend, accidentally chatted up a 12-year-old boy and revealed to the world why Leon Naylor is worth no girl's time or virginity.... Oh no, wait, that's exactly what happened.... 1. Language: English. Narrator: Charlie Sanderson. Audio sample: http://samples.audible.de/bk/hcuk/003012/bk_hcuk_003012_sample.mp3.
